Grizedale Arts, Cumbria 2001

This residency at Grizedale Arts was a metaphor for life’s journey, how we start going in one direction – and end up going in another. As a recently graduated mature Fine Art student, I had found my life had changed 180 degrees; I was interested in finding out about other peoples life stories.
The project was conducted in conjunction with BBC Radio Cumbria. From Grizedale in the South Lakes, I took a week travelling south, then a week west, east and finally north. Each day I would do a live link up with the station to report what I had seen and whom I had spoken to. This was the resulting publication, which had an CD of the interviews and my musings.
